Kuwait Television KTV2 (2017 - 2024)

  • Starting January 2017, I was a recurring guest on the Education and Psychology program with Dr Kamel and Dr Hassan for KTV2 the English Channel in Kuwait. The program was broadcast bi-weekly and sought a strong English-speaking audience across Kuwait.

  • In October of 2013, I was contacted by the SRC/CBC to conduct a live phone interview in regards to my FSL classroom. The phone interview was conducted in French and I was able to share my teaching practice as well as the engaging FSL program that I have created in my current school.

Professional Presentations

  • Windsor Essex Local Immigration Partnership (2014)
    I was invited as the teacher keynote speaker and educational cultural ambassador to speak at the 2014 Windsor Essex Local Immigration Partnership Forum.  My FSL classroom was featured as an inclusive and culturally aware environment for new comers to Canada and their families. 

  • Faculty of Education, Department of French Second Languages, University of Windsor (2015 - 2021)
    Speaker and mentor for faculty of education candidates in FSL who wish to pursue a teaching career in FSL or French Immersion. Topics include the CEFR and its use in the FSL classroom, DELF/DALF testing, the action-oriented approach, the release of the 2013 FSL/FI curriculum, inquiry based learning in the second language classroom.

       Speaker and mentor for faculty of education candidates in ESL who wish to pursue a teaching career in Bilingual and ESL.

  • Community Partnership Presentation with Parker DKI (September 2019)

        CMHA and Myself in regards to 1st Time landlords and the implementation of a lease agreement. The presentation was                   based on safety and tenants with mental health as well as protecting yourself as a landlord.  

  • WEST of Windsor, (Present)

       Special Interest Advisor and partnership presenter for the LEAD program with WEST of Windsor. This program focuses on               underprivileged women in minority communities.

  • “The European Connection for French Learners” a workshop for FSL Teachers with the GECDSB (2012) Presenter, creator and developer of the April 2012 professional development learning session for the FSL teachers of the GECDSB titled: The European Connection for French Learners. This workshop was open to teachers with the GECDSB and was presented as an after school event.

  • “The Cultural French Connection” a province wide workshop presented at the OMLTA Fall Conference (2012) In collaboration with 3 FSL teachers from the GECDSB we created a workshop to introduce the CEFR and the DELF/DALF to FSL teachers’ province wide.

Keynotes & Book Talks

I hosted an educational book talk for the GEC District School Board “Mindsets in the Classroom” by Mary Cay Ricci. This book talk included all levels of education and senior administration as well as hosted a keynote speaker from the Ministry of Education Ontario.  

I was selected as lead female start up keynote speaker for/ at Mefazec Kuwait on investing, innovation and entrepreneurship for GCC Youth and entrepreneurship mentee's. This keynote was hosted by an innovation engine that sponsors start-ups and SME's.

I will host a talk with YQG Talks Windsor- Essex in regards to success and leadership in the community and how to engage community members. This talk will be with 8 other participants who are also engaged leaders in the community and who are willing and able to give back to the community in Ontario.

  • I am the recipient of the 2014 Caring Canadian Award by the Hon. Governor General David Johnston. I have been a community volunteer since 2003 with successful leadership activity in organizations as such as Transitions 2 Betterness, ACFO Windsor-Essex County, Copenhagen Fashion Week 2013, Toronto Fashion Week, Windsor International Film Festival, Windsor Writers and Poets Festival, OMLTA and the French Alliance Michigan USA, Soroptimist Kuwait, TESOL Kuwait.
     

  • St-Peters Maronite Lebanese Church Community Liaison for the development of Youth Affairs as well as Community Events such as the Parish and Community Festival for The Lebanese Community" and official 3-part team of  hosts of the festival.
