A child of an immigrant parent and eldest of 5; no hand-outs were given. Born on Bruce Avenue in Windsor, Ontario a city next to Detroit, Michigan. Parents who started from nothing and a father who came to Canada from Lebanon during a time of war and strife and my mother a 1st generation Croatian.
